Thats right Guys I got £200 (maybe an extra tenner if needed) to buy myself a new CPU Motherboard and Ram Combo!

Already have Hard drives (2x 640Gb WD) GFX (XFX5770 XXX edition) and PSU (OCZ Stealth 500w).

Only just Bought the 5770 and my system will not post with it installed then realised the motherboard (Sapphire 3200Adv) is so old it probably does not support PCIe2.0 :( I Have always gone with AMD kit as 99% of what I do is games but If you can give me an i5 for under £200 then I would probably go with that :D.

I have found this

@RJC Board wont post unless I Fully reset the BIOS every time I want to boot the system and even then its not fully stable! Managed to play Force Unleashed 2 for an hour on High Settings with no problem, tried BC2 and it crashed, rebooted (with full Cmos reset) and left on for 5 mins to go get a cup of tea and it had crashed by the time i got back.

So not really sure what's up with it.

@Cookeh I was joking :D

Is it?
Crikey, go for RJC's spec then.

Better renowned than the Patriot stuff and a tried and tested set of RAM.
Proven to overclock very well, low heat sink so will fit under the vast majority coolers easily, oh and its got lifetime warranty!

Nice, very decent price for what will be a solid performer!

Assuming that due to lack of cooler you aren't going to be overclocking? :(
X4's get to 3.7 or 3.8 GHz pretty easy.

I got a Freezer 7 pro v2 on my X2 at the moment so will use that I think. Should produce better results than the stock cooler.

Anyone have a clue why OCUK might prefer to sell the GA-880GM-UD2H rather than the better spec'd GA-880GMA-UD2H with SB850 rather than SB710?

Havent seen any evidence to indicate the older board is better than the newer with newer Southbridge?

What's up with everybody recommending the 'avarage performing and overpriced' corsair memory when the patriot OCs better, has tighter timings AND IS CHEAPER?

The XMS3 was cheaper at the time as it was no this week only!

Think there has been availability problems with the GMA board.

The patriot needs 1.7 - 1.9V, so chances of actually getting that speed and those timings stable without going way over Intel absolute max RAM voltage and frying your i5/i7 IMC might not be good.
