£200 for PC

Well pretty soon im going to have approx £200 to spend on my system in my sig.

Obvioulsy im thinking 8800GTS ;)

But i wanted a 20 inch widescreen monitor as well.

Which would you go for?

EDIT : Actually you know i think i could get both if i sell my current card and monitor :D
 
Personally I would go for a nice monitor. Does the 7900 actually struggle on the games you play? Might be worth waiting for the new ATI cards to come out to see if they are better or pick up a 8800 at a lower price than today.
 
I would get a monitor if I were you, by the time some DirectX 10 games come out the value of the 8800GTS will have depreciated but the monitor will still be worth pretty much what you paid for it.

A monitor would be a better investment.

Monitor first as small price drops and 8800GTS second as monster price drops! Hourly! :D
 
No the 7900GTO plays pretty much everything i throw at it.

Will it cope at 1680x1050 ?

The onlt game i intend to buy for now is C+C3 when its out
 
my 6800GT runs CnC3 @1920x1200 (Dell 2407) on medium settings fine, no doubt the high end 7 series would do 1680x1050 nicely
 
my barton 2800 @ 2.25 ghz
7600 gs
1 gb 3200 ram
asus a7n8x deluxe
runs c&c 3 demo 1600-1200 19 inch crt no problemo at all
max details but no aa etc.
