Hey,just wonderin if u guys can help me out,ive been stuck in the dark ages with my 9800gt for to long dont get me wrong its a nice lill card,so ive given myself £200 to get a new card, seein some really nice ones, buuuuut i would like to stay with nvidia just always have,so any pointers and ideas on what one to get would b v greatfull!!thanks fellas

Also, what are your system specs? Forgot to ask but that's rather important to see if your PSU can handle the load and if you'll get bottleneck or not from the cpu

Funny u should say that i was eyein up this card v nearly went for it but thought id post a thread to get ppls opinions thanks for quick reply

For £190 you can get a Radeon HD5870 with a 2 year warranty which is a lot less stressful on your PSU then a GTX470 and quicker to boot. If the HD5870 is still to much then you might want to drop down to a HD6850 which only uses 1x 6-pin power for additional power or a GTX460 1Gb (I think the GTX460 uses two but it does uses about 40 watts more then a 6850) .

There is the other option of this:

Removed haha sorry didnt think just the link my mate sent me

Which ive been offerd for £165 or £185 with water block any ideas?

Plus im not sure to go from nvidia ha!

Ok wu-tang thanks mate so hands down out of all cards best performance and style ect ur money would b on?The 470 super oc or the Xfx 5870 ,i know this might sound a silly question but will i looses anythin without the physX

Pity you can't get a second hand MSI or Asus 5850 for around £100 clock it to within 5% of 5870 speeds.

Other than that I would just pay an extra £20ish and get the 6950 and flash it to 6970.
