£200 Nvidia & AMD Card BF4

I need to help out a friend who does not have much time on his hands.

Simply from both AMD and Nvidia what are the best £200 cards ?.

He will mainly be playing the likes of BF3 and BF4.
If it helps he has an FX-8350 4ghz CPU with a 256SSD.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If it has to be Now as in NOW then the only options are;

I'd argue the 270x is better because Mantle is (supposedly) released this month for BF4, which will work great with the AMD CPU and AMD GPU.

And not really at all on Nvidia.

Yer sure that is fair to say. Although no one really knows anything concrete about performance yet concerning Mantle! Still yer as I said a 270 or a 760 are your two options. I prefer the 760 over a 270 overall though.

Personal preference shouldn't come in to it.

The 270X has similar performance with the 760 in BF4 without Mantle, performance can only increase under Mantle-up to 45% has been touted@CES although no clue to what hardware used.

270X is considerably cheaper as well leaving a ~£40 saving along with probably faster performance when Mantle is released.

760 has better performance than 270X and comes with 2 free games (which could be sold to bring it down to 270X prices).

Alternatively, with a little searching the MSI 280X can be had for £230 (if you can stretch the budget that far).

if BF4 is the primary game then go AMD.

mantle will only improve current performance with this card.

If you can stretch to get a 280X id do that. It will blow both cards away.
