Im looking for a 17" LCD that I can use for games (BF2) and less than or close to £200. I was on www.tftcentral.co.uk and the monitor that came up on selection was the Hyundai Imagequest L72D+ (which is the monitor that I was interested in when seen on ocuk). The notes on it said that it has "poor movie playback". Does this mean for full screen movies ie DVDs, or any size of movie? Should I consider any others? Thanks.

Edit: I was only considering LCD's with DVI input (wanted to make use of it with my graphics card). Do I need DVI or shouldnt I bother?

OK, in a trade off between the Hyundai Imagequest L72D+ and the Samsung SM-913N . Should I go for the size of the Samsung or the DVI of the Hyundai?

Welcome to the forums.

As Raymond Lin suggests the Samsung SM-913n would be a good choice for a gaming monitor within your budget. As I understand it the analogue only input on this screen makes little to no difference in picture quality when compared with a similar digital input model.

Checking the specs of the 2 monitors there will be very little difference on performance in games. IMHO it would be a waste of money buying the Hyundai as there will be no sufficient benefit over the larger Samsung.

i'd say the Samsung 913N. The extra size really is nice, and the VGA connection is of excellent quality, would be very hard to tell the difference in image clarity between this and another similar monitor using DVI
