£200 spec me :D

yes i need help.

i have about £200, shoudl i got for a 4870 (i have a 24" and a 2900GT 256mb atm)

i have an akasa zen, which i dont liek and am due a case upgrade at its been more than a year since the akasa zen (longest i have kept a PC part )

so either an antec 1200, (which would allow me to get a watercooling kit (OcUK H20) OR a 4850)

OR an antec 300, with a 4850/watercooling kit, and then i can mod the antec 300. im going for a black red theme with the antec 300, and a case mod, with managemnt holes, black/res interior, rombus shaped side window which is a 2 way mirror/see through with UV CCFL etc etc.



OR something else all together

I'd go for a 4870 with the spec you have - I think you'll see a big difference at 1920x1200.

iv got an antec 300 and a 4870 i love it, but i would reccomend the antec 300 and the 4850, you will notice a massive different in gaming at your native res and i have been very impressed with the antec 300, it blows all other cases away in its price range.

at 1920 the 4870s is very tempting, but am wondering if a 4850 will be fine so i can get a better case....


but i really want w/c aswell. maybe wait for bursary to kick in and get all?

i wouldnt say the H20 is worth it against the Freezer 7 tbh

The Antec 300 is a lush case or spend some extra reddies go for something like the coolermaster Dominator, which is a great case too and only around £50

the 4850 is going to be a quick card still too tbf

what do you use the pc for , latest games i'd go for the 4870, slightly older games the 300 /4850.

Performance Vs looks? Performance should always win hands down.. go with the 4870!

im always trying to push my CPU 1 mhz at a time on a reboot

How about a 4850 and the Nzxt Tempest case, so much more room for your watercooling kit at a later date.

actually i have decided to put it all into a Lian-Li PC-A70B, and mod that with a window 120.3 fan cutout, mobo trya etc, and lots of little things, making it ready for water cooling.

i know it seems odd, but i have never had a nice case before, and my last 4850 killed my mobo, so i am going to wait a motnh let student loans/grants etc kick in and get a new compontents w.c to go with the PC-A70B. i can survive a month more with my 2900GT
