I have not been following computer hardware for the past 3 years and I have come to the conclusion I need to upgrade.

My computer is outdated, at the time of building in 2010 i think its fair to say it was mid range.

Say I have a budget of £200, what is the best way I can use that to improve my system enough to make it noticable?

Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 at 3.2GHz

Graphics card: Gainward GTX 460 Golden Sample 1Gb

Power supply: Antec Truepower new 650W

Motherboard: Asus M4A78LT - M

Ram: 2 x 2Gb Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz

Harddrive: Western Digital Caviar Green 1Tb

Case: Coolermaster 430

Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper Tx3

I use my machine for audio editing which makes me figure I desperately need better/more RAM. I also play various games, mostly CSGO and battlefield.

any suggestions welcome

Thanks

Is it worth going over to intel and spending a bit more money and selling the stuff left over? I feel like im missing out being on AMD. Its like im running a 'second choice' performance processor brand

For the games you play it won't make a massive difference (next to none in BF3).

If you decide on a budget you can look at different options, but you'll need more than £200 for CPU+board+RAM.
