Bit of a stange one here, Im trying to upgrade the gp administrative templates on our Win2k DC for XP SP2 support (mainly for Windows Firewall), Now I have forced the upgrade and have checked the adm files in the SYSVOL and in the Group Policy Add Remove templates function, they are up to date and running the versions they should be...

However, Opening the GP editor and navagating to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates The XP functionatly is not there, for instance in the network folder I should have the Network Connections Folder with the Windows Firewall settings.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have, thats what I'm saying the ADM files are all present and correct with the correct time-stamp, yet the GPOE is not displaying the extra features for some strange reason...

Is it a Windows 2000 or 2003 domain?
Is the DC running Windows 2000 or 2003?
Are you using the group policy management console or the original MMC Snapin?

Just to clarify realy i reliase youve mentioned "2000 server" in the title.

GPMC doesn't run on a 2000 Server Machine so I'm using the Console Snap in

Update the gpo by opening it from a xpsp2 PC.

Sorry if my original Post wasn't clear, but I have already, all the ADM's are present and correct, they have transfered, the GPO for default domain policy has been updated!

its just for some reason the extra features are not showing up in GPedit, that is my problem
