There's one on my neghibours drive.

Not sure of engine or spec level but it's petrol.

Last mot in 2006 at 35k miles.

Worth saving? Obviously will need tyres and breaks. Might knock on and fund out the story

Depends what it is really, is it a sport? What’s it like condition wise? If it hasn’t been driven since 2006 it’s going to be in dire need of lots of work, won’t really be economical I imagine.

It’ll be a pre-facelift E46 320i then. Nothing special but parts should be relatively cheap and they’re easy cars to work on.

Lack of maintenance could make it very expensive though. All the rubber bits in the suspension and engine mounts etc. will cost. Really depends on what you want out of it.

You really want a 6 pot when it comes to these cars.

Nope. If it's 1895cc it's a 318i or a 316i 4-pot making either 117bhp or 103bhp. The 320i was a 2.0 or 2.2 6-pot depending on year.
Waste of time. Crap engine in what will now be an utterly rotten body.
Oh yea, missed the capacity. Definitely a waste of time.

had been a recentish thread e36 though was it ? rolled out of relations garage dust & all for trailering ... where's that now ?
older sharks mouth 535i guy's still undergoing rennovation I guess, too.
