Hi,

Brother is interested in changing his a4 for one of these and was wanting to know how they react to re-map ?

Any experiance or comments welcome

IIRC they are 150bhp at stock. A decent map should get 180-190 I would think. Have a look on the Superchips website, and see what they quote. This will give you an indication, although my experience says that other companies will get a bit more power out of them (but that doesnt necessarily mean a more drivable car).

The 320d has a high rate of turbo failure, be warned, re-mapping the engine won't improve this situation, not at all.

If you wish to mod a BMW diesel, its the 3.0 that you should be looking at imo.

If it's a pre-March 2003 one, check that the turbo has been changed. If it has been changed, it will be ok. If it's post March 2003, it will be ok anyway.

Stock is 150bhp, remap will take it to 180-190 easily.
