2002 Focus Evaporator Case Leaking

There is water getting into the passenger footwell, i've traced it to the seal between the evaporator case and bilkhead, whats the best way to seal it ?

Silicone sealant.

That's what i thought, so the next question - why is the water not going out of the drain hole like it should be ? I have pushed a good length of wire up it to clear any blockages and didn't seem to come across any.

Are you sure the pollen filter housing is properly sealed because that can let water in too.

Yeah i've checked and it looks ok, no water coming in through the blower motor or from behind the glove compartment. The leak is from where the evaporator housing meets the bulkhead. It kind of has a foam seal around where it meets the body of the car.
