2003 Exchange Service issue

Hello,

I'm currently running 2 exchange servers (and 2 virtual servers) and one of them is having issues with the MTA Stack service. Every time I try and restart the service I get a message reading

Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion

Does anyone know why this might be occurring or how I can get the service to start as it's starting to cause issues for all my users. Everything else is running as per usual.

From a quick google:

Check the Application Log of the Server. You will see Error events related
to MSExchangeIS and MSExchangeMTA.

That should be your starting point to troubleshoot this issue.
