I do apologise for the numerous edits that have been going on in this thread.
Just trying some improvements - jam as much info in as possible. :D

The Red Bull Racing cars do look quick - apparently the new Cosworth engine is producing over 900bhp and is pretty bulletproof. We'll soon see though.

Simon/~Flibster

Certainly the test drivers seem to be fairing well, but my tip for the season will be Mclaren-Mercedes with Kimi and Montoya to come good, just hope that the engine survives though!

But surely the Red Bull car is just the Jag from last year with some 05 mods?

Nope.

Jaguar were developing their 05 car when they were informed that they were up for sale.

They didn't stop developing it as otherwise they would have been harder to sell. They just kept going on it.

Best bit was..they didn't know if they had an engine supply for the car. Luckilly - someone bought Cosworth and has honored all F1 contracts for this year.

Minardi in their 05 car should *should...* be running the same engine as Red Bull are this year.

Nice reporting there Flibster.

You would do Murrey proud.

I'll have to rely on you for English language commentry while I watching the race on Japanese TV

Thank you very much - I decided that I'd do this again this year..Did it last year on the 2am races - going to do this for all of them this time. Lets see How high 1 year of F1 can make my post count. :D

I'm just going to continue on this thread tonight and tomorrow. :D

Oh...the images at the top will be changing again - making some better ones myself from some maps I've been sent by a friend/contact. ;)

Hoping to get LOADS more info from him later this year.

Will be watching it and doing live commentary on here. :D
If only the swearing rule could be relaxed for a few hours... ;)

Simon/~Flibster

Hehe too true, the first few races are a must watch.. C who's where what cars are Ok, and most importantly reliability..

I'll be watching and continuously whining on here about anything that goes wrong to anyone I want to win... :D
What are red bull playing at setting such competitive times? Seems that they WILL be the surprise of this season. And from testing it looks like their car is VERY reliable, no engine failures and I don't recall eharing about any other reliability issues. It's also looked fast in all the pre-season tests. Good on them, I say!
Can't wait for tomorrow night, I hate the winter and it's lack of f1!

so whos staying up 2 3am with me to watch it?

Me! And qualifying tonight as well.

I have got 7/2 odds on Raikonnen for race win and Heidfeld at 6/1 to get top 3. Studying the form I think the odds on Raikonnen are good and I have gone for it with Heidfeld as I have always rated him as a driver and think he could be a surprise of the season.
