So my gf's Micra has decided it wont start in the past few days.

Its rather odd as since its been playing up ive managed to start it a few time but its hit and miss.

The battery and alternator seem to be good so it must lie somewhere else.

Currently it wont even crank over. You can hear the relays clicking on and off but nothing. Also all lights on dash flicker like mad.

Ive had it connected to a cranking 80AMP starter charger just to see if it then cranks but still nothing.

Currently the options are IPDM (intelligent power distribution module) or one of the associated relays or the Nissan immobiliser system.

Any one else had the same issue and if so what was the problem?

Any one else have any ideas.

Oh ive checked the fuses there all ok.

Cheers

relays clicking is most commenly a low battery, got one you got one you can swap it out with, or jump leads or a volt meter?
failing that the relay on the starter motormight be shot. old school way was to turn the key and get some one to hit the starter with a hammer.

Have you tried bump starting the car? That will back up potential starter motor issues. The alternative is the battery has gone but if you've already tried it on a booster it's unlikely

If the battery is ok then it's most likely a bad (i.e. corroded or loose) connection on either the earth strap or the starter solenoid, which would explain why it turns over and starts sometimes.
