I've been looking for a new monitor for a while now...

Couple of things i would like to check though....

I'm thinking of getting the above 2005FPW as it is now on offer at an etailer i visit.

Will my X1800XT and other specs below run games at 1680 x 1050 ok?
Does the monitor show much ghosting, playing HL2 etc....
And how bad is the black bleed problem?

no discussing competitors or their prices

How much will the new gen ones be? Should i go for it? I'm not a mad gamer, but will be playing games such as the new Oblivion and HL2 ocassionaly on it.... other than that mainly Photoshop and Web...etc

It does ghost. Whether it will be an annoyance to you or not is hard to say.

They're 'supposed' to be announcing the 2407 tomorrow (16th March)... Might be worth hanging on, before purchasing.

Adds HDCP support and the funky stand as well as a host of other things.
