Few questions about a possible DAB headunit swap out in a 2008 Clio.
Do they need/come with a DAB antenna? I'm going in tomorrow to look at them and ask the staff, but surely people here will know too!
Is it like a small GPS antenna you can stick up on the dash, or does it need to be some massive thing?

The unit in question, maybe...

Also, to keep the steering wheel controls, and the high level clock/radio display, is another adapter needed? I've only used small inline adapters for stalks before, but this 08 clio has a dot matrix screen high up on the dash with the radio/track/clock info etc.

Cheers!

Hi mate, if you are intending to upgrade your Clio to that head unit you will need to get a stalk adaptor specific to Sony head units in order to retain some usage from your steering wheel controls and probably a fitting kit to fit a standard sized single din stereo like that as most standard head units are non standard shapes and sizes.

As for the aerial, you will need a separate aerial for dab yes, if you are already in halfords I'd grab one of these http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...egoryId=318419&productId=907129&storeId=10001

I have one and actually, the reception is decent!

Have a look on dynamicsounds.co.uk for a fitting kit mate.

As for the display, I believe you'll no longer get track etc info anymore.
