A proper German GP this year after last year's European GP debacle. Hockenheim may be a shadow of its former self but the new hairpin can produce some decent overtaking moves.

If you're interested in seeing what the tracks look like I've updated my Google Earth links and flyovers. Unfortunately it's still not perfect, although Fuji is now high res thanks to the April update but the imagery for Valencia is a fair age so the purpose built bridge isn't visible. To play the flyovers select the flyover folder and press the play button at the bottom of the Places pane.

I'm hoping for another good race by hamilton. He seems to be one of these drivers who does a lot better when he's had a confidence boost by a win or good race.

Rain apparently on the cards yet again for Sunday. Never thought I'd say this but... Just to see how competitive everybody actually is, I wouldn't mind for a dry race for a change!

I too would like to see how competitive everyone is.. in the wet again! I enjoy that! Sorry Massa fans.

I am actually surprised how long Toyota is prepared to wait, I would have thought they would throw in the towel sooner.

Going by the autosport site, there should be rain at the weekend at Hockenheim. Will have to keep an eye on it to though (hopefully stays that way). It would be good to have a wet/dry race as that always mixes up the strategies :)

From the various weather sites I've been looking at, I'd say it'll shower a few times but not enough for a wet race. Might see a bit more rain during Quali though...
