2008 calendars in the shops already!!!

It's still SUMMER for pitys sake!

Grrrrr....

Makes my blood boil when shops do stuff like this. I mean who the hell is seriously going to buy a 2008 calendar and find somewhere to store it for the next 4 months! Without forgetting come the time that they bought it!

Next thing will be the Christmas stuff on the shelves just when the kids are going back to school......

Anyone else find shops putting stuff out so flippin early the most annoying thing in the world?? I mean come on, it's bit OTT don't you agree?

When I worked at morrisons, Easter Eggs went on sale 5th of Jan - as soon as the christmas/new year bulk lines had dissapeared

No i dont agree, the shops arnt making you buy the products are they.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!! Shops are selling 2008 calenders already, my life has ended.

There is a question at the end of it, if people want to answer, fair enough, otherwise why post?

Sorry but I find it extremely annoying, it's a real pet hate of mine, like the easter eggs straight after Christmas like AthlonTom said. I mean, closer to the time is fine, but now is just too damn early.
 
Shops tend to make the most money of products during holiday periods of the year. Now common sense dictates that the longer they have these products on the shelves the more scratch they are going to make.

Just call it a product of our capitalist society.

Some of us need to actually plan ahead into 2008 at this stage.

It was near the end of September last year when they started putting Christmas biscuits and stuff on a special Seasonal aisle in my local supermarket - I actually stopped and started ranting in the middle of the aisle when I saw it :D

We should have a Christmas Watch thing - first person to post a verified photo of Seasonal goods on the shelves wins a prize :p

THEY ARE IN THE SHOPS????

*wants to buy one now.

Some people need them for work. My job is finance and I usually need one from mid september. Kylie is much more interesting on my office wall than the works calendar.

But I do understand your rant.
