So, how was the year for you? Was it good, bad? Better or worse than 2007? Are you looking forward to 2009 with open arms or are you being dragged along kicking and screaming?

It's been a weird and hard year for me. Mentally, I found myself in perhaps the worst place I've ever been which led me to what I suspect was a nervous breakdown around Easter. Although, I'm not a doctor and I've since bounced back. :)

Indeed, I've finished university now which is a mixed bag. It's nice to be out, but at the same time I miss it sorely. Likewise, I'm still unemployed and the debts don't seem to want to go away. It isn't exactly fun being on the dole.

I guess 2008 hasn't been that brilliant, but it depends on how you look at it. Afterall, you can't have the highs without the lows. I'm looking forward to 2009 with somwhat reserved anticipation; I'm going to be starting a new career, money woes should disappear and well, the world is my oyster. I've got a feeling that 2009 is going to be something special.

You?

Got a job, some money, paid off overdraft (credit card next), met loads of new people through work and learned a LOT through work, went back to Hong Kong first time in 18 years too.

I think it has been a step forward.

It’s been a pretty good year for me.

I completed my degree with a 2.1, got a job that I enjoy as a Software Engineer. And got my own flat :D

Weird year for me as it's been very transitional, however I'm happy it's turned out how it has.

Left uni, moved out from living with the girlfriend into a barrack block at recruit training, now single at Cosford looking forward to what the next 12 months brings.

:edit: Oh and btw Nix, stop thinking so much :p

Was a good year and bad.

Good as I finally took a step into real cycling and boosted my fitness greatly and no longer spending 12+ hours a day on the PC.

Bad, well moving to Manchester for college/uni, dull it is here, my lack of interest in clubbing means I don't know many people too which sucks but cycling keeps me from going insane.

Ditto, first half of the year was apalling, nasty break up, got made redundant then in the second half met a new girl friend and got a new job I love.
Opposite here, first half of the year was great, woman, new house enjoying the job. Second half relationship fell apart and associated QQ

It's been a mad year for me.

It started badly: I had a really nasty chest infection for 3 weeks (coughing up blood ) then I had my Uni exams and they were a bit touch and go. Then straight after my exams a first year student rushed out into the road after drinking a bottle of wine and went straight into the windscreen in front of me (I was front passenger) and rolled over the top of the car. She had to be resuscitated at the scene was in a coma for a while but thankfully she's made a full recovery albeit it she is badgering my mates insurance people for compensation.

After that, things got a lot better. My relationship with my other half has really grown and we're very happy now and looking into the future with a lot of good things ahead of us. It also turned out I aced my end of year exams.

After the summer my grandpa passed away aged 93 which hit me quite hard because we were quite close. I got hit with tonsillitis for 2 weeks before my end of term exams which I've just wrapped up and my girlfriend is away for another 3 weeks so it means xmas with family and friends.

Really looking forwards to the new years. :)

Hard work, half way through my final year at uni, but have had a thoroughly brilliant bunch of flatmates this year and enjoyed the regular house meals and events :)
