Hi is it possible to take my 2009 macbook apart, remove the hard drive and turn it into an external hard drive? I guess it is but wanted to check. All my photos etc are stored on it and they wont transfer using migration assistant etc The screen is smashed so difficult to work with and it really has slowed down a lot in the past month. I want to transfer everything to my new iMac.

Follow the steps to remove it, then insert into a 2.5" usb caddy etc
