Hey all,

Been using Belinea 19" x2 Setup for about 4 years now, one has died and I think it is time for an upgrade.

I have around £200, was thinking of getting 2x BenQ G2222HDL Monitors. This would be a nice upgrade in terms of size however I have to ask how good they are?

I was mostly be using the PC for Web Browsing, Gaming and 3D Modelling/Photoshop work. My current monitors have been fine for this, however I am unsure if the 2 monitor setup is the best way to go?

I find the extra screen useful for reference sources etc, but would I be better off spending the full budget on one monitor?

Thanks,
Jcb33.

For ~£200 my first suggestion would be this excellent Dell U2311H - especially if one of your main uses is photo editing and 3D modelling. The main reason this monitor is so nice is that it uses a high quality E-IPS panel (in contrast to TN panels which are used in the lower-end monitors like that BenQ). The main benefits of an IPS panel over a TN are very accurate colours and wide viewing angles - so when you are looking head-on a the monitor the colours don't shift at all when you move your head a bit (they do noticeably shift on TN panels). Here is an in-depth review of the Dell.

Also, have a search on the forums for "U2311H" and you will see how many of the people who use this monitor find it.

If you're doing any photo work, I concur :D

Good description of the differences between the panels. Nothing to add really. Forget the BenQs - what you gain in size, you'll lose in image quality.
