ive been looking at moving my system into a pre watercooled chassis. I ideally don't want any of the hastle yet could do with the cooling capacity for benching. ive looked at the 750d pre watercooled case but it does not mention 2011-3 socket compatibility.

could anyone tell me if id be able to ? I did quickly check the Live Chat but thought best to ask here

Edit * Just looked at the raystorm block , it shows support for 2011, I assume I use the same backplate as stock just like my h100i?

Appears it will work fine. Ordered this morning , does anyone know what temps I should expect on a 360mm rad an raystorm CPU block on a 5820k @ stock for example

Depends on the load but I'd say about 30-35 C above ambients at most? The solder helps but the internal heat transfer from the CPU die to the IHS is still a huge bottleneck to CPU cooling.

I have 750D, and X99, and 5820K. You absolutely don't need a 360mm rad for stock speeds. I have a 240mm rad (Corsair H100i) and I can easily push it to 4.4 GHz with temps below 75 under heavy loads (@ 600rpm Noctua NF-F12 fans).

I'm using a h100i and regularly have my 5820k @ 4.5 , I was suggesting stock because everyone can experiance that setting . I could then get a rough average of how much Improvment I'd see in temps over my h100i with sp120s . My name should say all ;) hehe , throwing a random clock number means nothing as people's voltages vary
