2012/2013 Player Injuries Discussion/updates

Could be a blessing in disguise that (for him)

More positive news is that Smalling is back in full training with Jones to join him next week

Mousa Dembele could return for Tottenham in Thursday’s Europa League tie at Lazio after the midfielder’s personal physiotherapists claimed he had recovered from a hip injury.

Dembele has not played for Spurs since the 2-0 win over Aston Villa on October 7 after suffering a recurrence of the problem while on international duty with Belgium.

Manager Andre Villas-Boas had hoped the midfielder would be available for the north London derby but the game came too soon for him.

The chances of Dembele being involved in Rome look to be greatly improved, however, after the Belgian retweeted a message from an Antwerp-based physio. It read: “On my way to deliver @mousadembele injury free to his club @spursofficial.”

Spurs have won only one Premier League game since the £15million summer signing succumbed to injury.

THERE IS A GOD!

Vidic to play against Clunge.... sorry Cluj on Wednesday

Only positive we can take from a generally rubbish couple of weeks on the pitch is that we now almost finally have all our defenders back. I give it 3-4 weeks before they're all dead again :(

EDIT: I say only positive we can take but I guess being top whilst being worse than average aint bad either :D

Frank Lampard in the squad for Sunderland today but John Terry will now miss the Club World Cup.

Oriol Romeu is out for six months. He was injured against Sunderland and underwent anterior cruciate reconstruction surgery yesterday.

That's going to cause us a bit of a problem, with Mikel going to the ACoN we haven't any other DM's. Luiz or Ramires might have to do that job for a while, it might even mean we get someone else in in January.
I feel a bit sorry for him too as he was going to get a decent run in the side which he needed, hopefully the ops and his recovery go well :(

Parker and BAE back in full training.

Could be fantastic for us, finally a real left back with an understanding with Bale and Parker can mean Sandro can have a rest as he is in great form and dont want him burnt out.

COYS

Vidic set to start against Sunderland at the weekend, couldn't of been better timed what with Evans going off (and presumably injured) against City

Any news on Ando or Nani?

It was being speculated that Anderson is out for 6 weeks.
Nani was last said to be 4 weeks and that was before the Cluj game IIRC prompting many to speculate that he wont actually play for the club again
