2012 F1 team name changes agreed

It means from 2012, Team Lotus will become known as Caterham, Renault will switch to Lotus and Virgin Racing will switch to Marussia.

Lets hope the names stay the same for a while now.

First person to try to claim any link between Lotus and Team Lotus, or say something like "Its great to see Senna on the side of a black and gold Lotus again" gets a punch.

And what other 2 slots? There was only ever 1 more, and Bernie has confirmed that that has now been dropped and F1 is limited to 12 teams?

Oh that's rubbish.

I thought it was originally 13 and then 14 after a few years.

Seems a bit silly to of dropped those slots totally.
