Oh dear. Moyes is being called a dinosaur fir injuring rvp pre season by over training him. Using outdated methods he's over trained rvp into a thigh strain by the sounds of it.

He's also said that giggs will need to steer him through the champions league etc. The telegraph.

'I've been in the champions league (qualifiers), watched loads of games, and managed in the Europa league unsuccessfully) - everyone has to start somewhere.

I cried.

Went to Crawley last night. What a horrible ground! (nowhere near withdean standards though). Good win, It was actually quite a hard fought game, and a few youngsters looked decent.

That puts us 5 for 5 in preseason games now after winning both our games in Spain against Getafe and Sporting Gijon.... Bring on Villareal on Saturday!

At least report all of it if you're going to;

Van Persie felt tightness in his thigh during Tuesday's loss in Yokohama and had to be taken off.

But Moyes said: "It was just a precaution. I expect he will play tomorrow."

Why wouldn't he take advice from someone who has played in the CL for 20 years? Is Giggs not the ideal person to gain advice from?

He's right, he has got to start somewhere but you knew that already didn't you.

Good.

I guess it depends if you think over training is a good thing or whether the richest club obtain a manager who has no clue about the European competition we are expected to get to at least the semis or whatever. Whilst moyes says 'I think to win one of the big european tournaments its always been something special' is he setting us up for the Europa league?

the quote was 'fitness clowns and scientific clowns' must be educated if you want to provide the full quote mr gimp don't be picking and choosing now.

The fact he acknowledges it and is willing to take advice shows he's NOT a dinosaur. Being inexperienced and being a dinosaur are two completely different things.

No he was called a dinosaur because of his seemingly ott training or 'over training' as moyes called it.

The champs league bit wss just their to show his inexperience at the highest level of competition.

Moyes has highly trained staff and as we all know, if at all possible, people love to misinterpret someones words in order to have something to write about. That guy has no idea about RvP or Uniteds training. Overtraining is a term that could mean a million and one things completely unrelated to what we think.

Moyes has Ferguson and Giggs and co all whom have a lot of CL experience so why is it an issue if he asks for advice. He will ask their opinion on matters when he is unsure or in order to understand the challenge he is facing. CL football is still football nick.

I don't mind a bit of over training, it's pre season ffs. When the likes of Anderson and Rooney are lugging their fat arses round until September it's a breath of fresh air that someones making them properly train.

I wasn't quoting this 'fitness expert' who if you look him up has a history of shouting his mouth off about things, look him up :)

Why do you think we would need that pointing out?

We all know Moyes well enough Nick, you're not some kind of genius for pointing out he is inexperienced at the high end of Europe.

Wow I see your the expert and Raymond who has worked for city, barca chelsea isn't. Have you thought about applying to be part of moyes elite team?

Don't aim your rhetoric at me I'm just the pervayor of news n
