2013/14 Pre-season Friendly Thread

I haven't watched any of the pre season friendlies but isn't Moyes just seeing who are the better players with his team selections and has RvP scored?

Don't want him going on that 10 match goalless streak again.

Anderson's been excellent pre season

Come on man, we can do better than Anderson. He just isn't cutting it at UTD. He is a good player but we need better. He always looks out of shape as well.

Chelsea vs Real Madrid tonight/tomorrow at 2am. Its only on Chelsea tv but Chealse tv is £3 a month right now for the first 3 months. Worth a punt.

Anderson always looks good against poorer opposition in friendlies as he has that little bit more time and space that he needs to operate.

What's been the excuse for everyone else then?

Also, people seem surprised that Bebe did some good stuff. He's not that bad, he's been made a scapegoat, but he only played 7 times for United (and scored twice - take that Welbeck) and did well in Portugal. I don't think he's United class, but he doesn't play like a rank amateur as many seem to think, either.

Won 2 lost 2 drawn 2. It's hardly been a stellar pre season to be fair. Dissapointing would be most apt and because we haven't signed anyone but Zaha we haven't been able to integrate any potential signings into our system. That's really Dissapointing it's like pre season is over and tbh we could do with another one.

Our team vs Valarenga:

Jones, Spearing, Wisdom, Coates, Flanagan, Henderson, Allen, Alberto, Downing, Aspas, Ibe.
Substitutes: Mignolet, Enrique, Kelly, Toure, Gerrard, Coutinho, Assaidi, Lucas, Borini, Sterling.

Hopefully we'll get another win.

Did Judas Cripple Medal Thief just say Aspas is too small for the Premiership?

Edit: Surely Downing at left back, Flannagan right back and Spearing alongside Alberto?

Edit: It's obvious after only 10 minutes that Owen hasn't done any homework for this game. Doesn't know who's playing, what our players do and who's scored for us in pre-season. Obviously stealing another living

Good half for Liverpool but disappointing to concede another goal from a set piece :(

Ibe has looked very good and has used his speed and strength to get past the fullback a number of times, Allen has made some excellent runs and his passing looks top notch again but Aspas has been the real star of the show. He gets in some great positions, he's pulling the defenders all over the place and his finishing, had it not been for some excellent keeping, could've seen him bag a hat trick.

Unfortunately Bottler has looked out of his depth/uninterested/too much like a bottle.

Edit: Owen makes me want to self harm.
