Arsenal beat quite a strong City side 3-1. Our goals were all very good and their one only came after we'd made about 11 changes. We defended pretty well but had City been a bit more clinical we could have conceded early. Overall quite a promising result, I think City need some work as their new players didn't set the world alight. Navas is a terrible diver by the way. Went down for 3 minutes holding his face when he wasn't even touched.

...didnt expect us to win in all honesty. But from the highlights i saw, it looked like City didnt get out of first gear

.I watched the whole game, they had plenty of possession but no real bite whereas we made every shot count. As a unit we were quite solid and City struggled to break us down. No idea why Aguero isn't playing, none of the other City strikers are anywhere near his level.
We really do only need 3-4 players to be truly competitive but as you say Wenger probably thinks this proves that we don't need anyone.

Was just about to say this. I know a fair few Arsenal fans, and they were saying when we heard the result that it was probably a bad thing that they won!
In truth though, it obviously won't make any difference in terms of signings or anything.
Aguero is a strange one, is he injured or something??. Surprisingly he hasnt really featured for City in the pre-season games. Perhaps Wenger should test City and put in a bid for him and see what happens
