New Manchester United manager David Moyes will be the centre of attention as he steps into Sir Alex Ferguson's shoes for the traditional game between last season's Premier League champions and FA Cup winners at Wembley. Moyes will be expected to win his first piece of silverware in his first major game as United boss. Wigan are also under new management - Owen Coyle having succeeded their FA Cup-winning manager Roberto Martinez. Following Wigan's relegation from the Premier League, it will be the first time since 1980 that a team outside the top flight has featured in the Community Shield.

Happy with that, nothing massively exciting but a decent job overall.

Definitely need someone for that gap next to Carrick in midfield, Fellaini might do it.

Not sure about the wingers but I like Zaha and Nani is great when on form.

Yeah, feeling strangely positive as long as we can hold onto Rooney and Nani. Fellaini could be useful next to Carrick as you say.

Aye, if we add Fellaini (and maybe Baines if we can get him for a reasonable fee) and keep Rooney we'll be quite fine as long as Rooney sharpens up if he stays.

Still think there could be a few interesting developments but assuming Fellaini and Baines are our 'worst case scenario' signings then it's all good as long as we sort out Wayne.

Nice of Vidic to give the trophy straight to Moyes! :p
