2013 Le Mans 24 Hours

Ooops.

Qualifying 2 now on. And it's a wet 'un :D

Looking very likely that the No2 Audi has pole position for the race as it's not looking like it's going to dry out that quickly.

Interesting how a small little part like that brought the Toyota to stop.

The weather does look very carp mind!

No57 Ferrari is kind of being rebuilt, but isn't actually their car.

They've borrowed a car from another team and are having to modify it to make it able to run legally. :D

Air restrictors, yellow headlights, drivers seat and the running lights in the doors. Plus all the suspension and brakes...

The car was black... by the time they've changed all the panels to the GTE ones it'll only have a black roof.

Surely the car would be legal anyway if its borrowed from another team (AF Corsa, JMW Motorsport or 8 Star Motorsports)? Surely all that needs changed is Air restrictors and numbers?

ACO have announced that the Session will not restart.

So 3 sessions ended early out of 3 sessions on track...

3 sessions on track and 4 red flags. Not good.

Bugger. I finally get to the point where I can get the laptop out and they throw the red

Plus the plane's running late so I won't get home until after qually finishes...

Doh!

Just arranged to work from home tomorrow so figure I can watch whatever is on at Le Mans.... and there's nothing on tomorrow :(

I'm going to miss large chunks of the race too.

Qualifying 3 will start 30 minutes early and will presumably run through to give the teams the half hour they've lost today.

So that's at 20:30 UK time.

[edit]
Got to say that I'm impressed with the Eurosport player app. Quality is pretty damn good and only about 30 second behind live.

I've been using Sky Go on the Surface and its been doing a pretty good job. One thing I've noticed from Sky Go on the iPad is it has a lot more channels + Eurosport :D.

Here's a question, how are the car numbers assigned? Where is car #4,#5,#6?

I believe 4,5,6 where originally assigned to Peugeot last year but they pulled out at the last minute and I think they have just kept the numbers the same from last year.

What was it?

Wanting the underdog to finish well, but looking like Audi are much quicker per lap.

Red flag again, no idea why yet, just got it off the timing screen but Eurosport are on an ad break

Edit - 76 Porsche is off at first chicane, looks to have a back wheel missing
