*** 2014/15 Pre-season Friendly Thread ***

Is that going to be his last goal for the club?

Unless he scores in the final, I would think so

( but what a way to sign off even if its pre season)

Still hope there for subs, I'm glad Ibe is getting chance to show his potential though, I hope we give him chances next season
Yeah, looking forward to seeing Coates and Robinson as well. They've all had good pre-seasons and it'll be good for Lambert to get more time to adjust to our style of football because he's looked a bit lost so far.

Lucas on the other hand has been appalling and I'm not sure what the point in playing him is other than putting him in the shop window.

This is first one I've been able to watch well providing I don't fall asleep prior, Lucas hasn't been right since last injury. Coates I've always felt we never really gave him a chance so glad he has been doing well. Is sturridge injured as rumours are suggesting?

FT, 3-1. What a great performance, especially considering we switched half the team. Could have had 2 or 3 more with a better final ball, too. The young defenders all did well except Keane conceding the penalty (which wasn't that bad as Bale is a class player).

Cleverley and Valencia were both poor though.

101 Great Goals is quoting mail on sunday

I think he's still on holiday, so...

Blast, went to go make some scran and missed the 3rd goal. Any good?

Yeah, Kagawa with a nice ball/cross towards the far post and Hernandez headed it in.

He also wouldnt be the first player to be injured away from the pitch either.....

Liverpool have to be favourites imo, their squad is much more mature and able to cope with a few absences

It'll be interesting to see what sort of teams both sides field in the final. This tournament must be a right pain in the arse for the coaches and their plans with not knowing in advance how many games they'll be playing.
