Question is can we get a 2nd choice RB better than Valencia before the season starts (even Lingard perhaps?)

Nice result and a competent performance from us. Some good attacking play and solid if a little nervy at times at the back.
Jones and Blind are a nightmare waiting to happen
If those two start in the EPL without a lot of injuries (I hope not), LvG has totally lost the plot defensively
Before LvG had any experience of the PL of course (or really knew most of his players)
Question is can we get a 2nd choice RB better than Valencia before the season starts (even Lingard perhaps?)

So utd beat Barca, does this mean utd will be cl champs seeing as they just beat the best team around??

Good result for Arsenal today at the Emirates tournament, absolutely destroyed Lyon today. Looks like we have picked up from where we left off a few mths back. Wasn't that impressed with Lacazette tbh, mind u he was their best player today but I don't see what he offers us over say le donkey aka Giroud.
Hopefully tomo win our second cup then win the community shield, where I hope Wenger plays Cech in goal against Moaninho and co.

.Neither match I refer to was against a PL team.
and Utd only finished so far behind Chelsea at the end of the season predominantly because of Utd's first 11 games in the PL (something like 13 points behind after the 1st eleven games of the season)
Everyone knows pre-season means nothing, but we still tested ourselves against the best team around (with or without Messi and Neymar). LvG now knows the EPL better and knows the core of his players a lot better also.
LvG considers him too hot-headed and hasn't really matured as a player in a few years (imo anyway). Love his character, but either way if the manager doesn't like him Utd might as well sell him during this window
I think most United fans on here liked Rafael but that was partly because he was a bit of a character. Nutty in defence and great going forwards. He is just a bit too small for LvG I think. He would get beaten in the air all day against any half decent player over about 5'8"
