This just popped up on a feed and had to double check to see I was looking at a KIA photo

Numbers are quite good also, 3.6 V6 twin turbo, 365BHP, 509Nm, RWD (with LSD).

Really digging that interior, just not the iPad  The body style has hints of A7, XE, and various BMW cues.

That's a KIA!

Hmm unless they do release a coupe version also. The GT in my op is what's being officially unveiled tomorrow at the Detroit Autoshow, so perhaps a coupe will follow later?

Is this supposed to be this that they promised or are they different models?
KIA should have stuck to making cheap basic cars with 7 year warranties that OAPs could say would see them out.

All the articles is saying this is the production version of the Kia GT concept car.

There is also a Kia GT4 Stinger concept car which should hopefully result in a production version later this year. Although no articles saying that.

The market really needs something better than the 370z or GT86 for that segment. Hopefully it comes along.

Kia's our-days seem to be priced too closely to the competition, whilst they may be 'OK cars' the badge still leaves a lot to be desired.

There's very few what I would call genuinely 'cheap' marques these days, when specced to a reasonable standard. Kia, Skoda etc none of these are priced massively less than big players like Ford, Vauxhall etc. That's not to say they aren't good value compared to premium marques but it's not like you can get them for a pittance (take family hatchbacks for example, pretty much every make costs over £15k new nowadays unless you scrimp on spec).

Nice car but the UK will probably get fobbed off with a 2.0 litre 150bhp diesel variant of some sort. We don't get exciting engines like this anymore :(

We will find out tomorrow what the UK gets :p

One thing is confirmed though, no manual gearbox option :( :(

Doesn't sound like the auto box is a double clutch unit either going by the 0-60 time of 5.1s, either that or it's quite heavy!
