2019 NFL Season Thread

Big Ben out for the season.

My old Bengals loyalty made me quirk a slightly guilty smile at this. Horrible that a player misses a season but good to see Stealers not winning. That division must be a gimme to the Ravens now especially if Lamar keeps going at this pace.

Surely they have to start looking to the future soon with the QB position, it will break my heart but Drew can't go on forever?

Payton keeps talking up Taysum Hill so will be interesting if he gets a go, if not they'll be after a QB in this year's draft.

Actually probably Steelers and Saints will need to seriously consider looking now.

Wonder if there's any odds on either Steelers or Saints (more likely Steelers) have a sneaky nibble on Rosen. Steelers actually have a line so could see Rosen playing with an actual team.

Considering the Phins have decided to purposefully tank and destroy themselves a 2nd-4th round pick for Rosen who they clearly have no interest in could tempt them.

Big Ben out for the season.
Brees out for at least 6 weeks. Saints could end up in an unrecoverable hole especially if Teddy plays like he did on Sunday.

could be interesting the way its going, i think the saints could be ok long as they have kamara.

Teddy will start getting reps so he should settle in, not got much luck with the schedule though.

Think they said last night brees has only missed 1 regular season game since he started with the saints, which is pretty impressive.

Saints and Steelers should go for Mariota ;-)

only if you give him away :D

hopefully he might get some reps, not seen him throw a lot so will be interesting to see if he gets a chance, but as mentioned above schedule hasn't been too kind to them

I have a feeling that Ben might call it quits. At least we will get to see what Rudolph can do for the remainder of the season.

think it will depend on the op/rehab and how happy he is with that, but with from what i saw on the way the injury happened he might well be better ending it.

lets face it the way their playing the qb doesn't matter, so no real pressure on rudolph :D

Could be an interesting draft now with the amount of teams needing a new QB.

Just finished up watching Red Zone and the late night game, wow a couple of great finishes. Bears game was fun, as was the Eagles/Falcons. Both great games with tense finishes.

Big Ben is a pain for my fantasy team, with JuJu being my keeper WR. Mind you, taking Lamar Jackson to replace Andrew Luck seems like a master stroke right now... :)

Can't believe Darius Guice is on IR again... what's that guys luck like! Mind you, I snagged AP on waivers, so there's a silver lining at least.

only really seen 3 qb's that might be 1st round next year, and not sure the dolphins should get one of them with all the issues they have, specially as they got rid of tunsil as well.

I can only imagine if they are intending to go for a QB that they going to go big in FA on 1 or 2 linemen as their line is historically bad.

just seen they may have put a trade together with the steelers:

Miami Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, along with a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2021 seventh-round pick, in exchange for a first- and fifth-round pick in 2020 and 2021 sixth-round pick.

also seen that ramsey at the jags has asked for a trade

They now have 5 first round picks in the next 2 years plus a load of second and third round picks as well.

All well and good but they are building on top of nothing so they will have to go hard on FA. Really don't understand trading away Tunsil and Fitz who they could have built around. Better off getting what they could for Stills/Drake/Parker etc who aren't good enough and going from there but meh. We'll see.

Wasn't impressed by the Browns again despite the win.

I wonder if Miami, and Oakland to some extent, are trying to recreate the magic of the Hershel Walker trade that Dallas pulled off in '89? Stockpiling draft picks in an era of free agency and a salary cap is a different animal all together. Not to mention that you still have to hit on your selections. Time will tell....

(Oakland's off to a bad start with the AB debacle)

just don't understand it, if your trying to rebuild why get rid of your best players, and the draft is such a lottery.

saw mention that Fitz's mom started causing issues by saying the team where playing him out of position so not getting the best out of him, and he agreed :D

No one understands it beyond the Miami front office! Now with the trading of Tunsil and Fitz they've essentially 'gone all in' and pushed all their chips into the pot. There's no going back. This will either be a spectacular success or a spectacular failure.

I love it when a grown *** man and a pro athlete's mommy gets involved. :D
