2021 ROG Zephyrus g15 vs ROG Strix g15

these appear to be the same price

is the only difference betwen these the speed of their respective GPUs ie a strix 3070 being faster than a zephyrus 3070 or is there more to it than that

i am looking at a 3070QHD laptop and these are on my hit list as well as the new levano pro5

The 3070 in the Strix has a higher TGP than the Zephyrus.

I think the Zephyrus also comes with the HS variant of the CPU rather than the Strix and its H.

My understanding is the HS is a less power hungry version?

The Strix is a more chunky laptop with better thermals so it can cope with higher tdp for the GPU and CPU (the latter is a guess as I haven't checked) without throttling. The zephyrus is a thinner all-rounder and will actually be on par with last gen RTX 2080 super laptops in gaming. Productivity-wise, if you use software that makes use of the Ryzen 7 cores, the zephyrus will dump all over comparable 10th gen intel CPUs. The 3070 on the Zephyrus is an 80-watt tdp part so quite disappointing.
