What would be the best tyres in this size?
The car is a ford fiesta st
I'm not looking to spend a lot on them, around £75 per tyre fitted.
so on black circles i've seen:
Kuhmo KU39
Falkon ZE912
Toyo Proxy 4
Toyo Proxy T1-R

But if the price difference would be worth it there are also hankook ventus V12 at £88 per tyre.

Mainly used for around 10 miles per day if i'm just going to work and back, occasional weekend drive on twisty roads.
with winter coming i want to not have to leave the car at home so need a bit of snow grip.

I too enjoy buying a hot hatch famed for its sweet handling and then fitting cheap tyres. Later on I shall drive it to a fantastic steak restuarant. Where I shall order a 700g Chateaubriand. And cover it in ketchup.

Dr Who likes this (sorry no like button)

Not too long ago I paid around £75 per corner for Falken FK452, better than at least 3 of the tyres there i'd say. Dry grip was pretty good, wet was average, but what do you expect out of a mid-range tyre? Lasted me around 15K on an MG ZR on the fronts. Backs were on 20K and still had plenty life in them.

They're currently on offer on Camskill for £59.95 per corner.

Lol, all the people thinking it's some kind of uber powered supercar have any of you driven one? it's so underpowered it stupid.
and i may be looking at tyres you think are terrible but for the amount i drive the car it's really not worth me spending a lot of money on tyres, 10 miles to work and back so any tyre, inc. LingLong are going to last a long time.
Only looking to keep the car another year anyway, maybe less.

I have T1R's and there brilliant on dry and wet.

Switch to Continental CS3's or Goodyear F1's and you will realise how poor T1R's are. :D

So because its underpowered, it doesn't need grip?

I used to live on Eagle F1 GSD's on my old audi A3 2.0T, i swapped to T1R's and never noticed any difference really, but then again, i wasn't going sideways round corners in the rain ;)

In reality, the T1R's always felt composed for me on the Audi and i wouldn't pay extra now for the GSD's. I've got pilot sport 3's all round on my A6 atm, when they wear down, i'll probably go back to the Proxes because they are a good budget performance tyre and suit my needs.

Edit, on second thoughts, i probably won't go back to proxes as they wear down like cheese, i'll probably choose some kind conti premium contact or something longer lasting due to my commuteto work.

Indeed, a £75 tyre that lasts 7500 miles is never as good as a £125 tyre that lasts 15000 miles.
