Yup,

£205 for a 10k service on the wife's Hyundai Santa Fe. The oil itself costing 37.50 + VAT. Air and oil filters were equally extortionate.

What can I do - can I moan at someone?

That's not a bad price. SEAT wanted £370 off me for a 10k service. I just bought the bits off them and got a local mechanic to do it for a third of the price. Warranty is still valid that way.

5yr warranty was my worry, so I stuck with the Hyundai dealer. It needs the brake master cylinder replaced (losing fluid) which will be about £250, but free under warranty.

I must be gettin' old if you guys think £40+ for 5L of oil is reasonable, lol.

I like the idea of using a local garage for the next service. But does this invalidate your warranty (5-year on the Hyundai)? Or do you just nead the log book stamped to say the service was done to manufacturer's spec?
