£205 for a 10k service!

with my fabia i paid £12 a month this paid for all servicing up to 17k a year so sometimes i got an annual plus an oil service in a year
seems a good scheme to me.
out of warranty now so i just get a £49.99 cheapo motorsave full service plus ive got an independent warranty that just paid out £200 recently for a failed oil seal.
i know a lot of you wouldnt trust motorsave but they do a good job on mine!

I think it depends on the dealer. Avonvale Honda are not cheap.

Must do mate, I have had no major issues with Shepton, Brislington, Chepstow or Eastgate Honda TBH which is why I speak highly of their services.
For the type of car I drive I expected high running costs, but its no worse than my old Honda or my old Mazda...better in fact on the cambelt service thanks to being eligible for the Honda Happiness scheme with fixed, transparent pricing on all the major jobs.

You think thats expensive, local BMW dealer charged £240 for an 'Oil Service'.

The oil alone was £70+vat!

Bloody hell, that better be some good oil for that sort of price. I was looking at getting Silkolene Pro stuff from opieoils (Oilman to those who know him) and it was around half that for 5 litres.

Audi charge about £230 (VAT Included) for my 2.5 TDi on A.V.S. 80K service is the worst as it includes the cambelt change plus water pump. £700. :o

From my local garage a 10k service for the Accord is £130. I got all the bits myself at trade price this time thanks to my Girlfriends dad, cost me £60 for 5 Litres of magnitec, oil filter, air filter, new plugs, new wipers and a window cleaning cloth :)

An independent specialist would have charged you around £70+VAT for the Oil Service and about £200 > £250 for an inspection 2.

Paying a BMW dealer such prices is plain daft imo.
