Well we got this car recently its been great, Anyway the Mrs would like a nice silver/alloy petrol cap instead of the one thats on it. However ive never bought car accessories before so no idea where is good etc so can anyone point me in the right direction

Wait until the electrics go wrong!

Don't chav it up. It will reduce the value, make it a target for keying and changes the visual appearance (potential insurance void).

There are plenty to pick from on Ebay. Ones that fit over the existing fuel cap, the odd genuine 206 GTI fuel cap, and some copies.

Just pick which one you like and keep hold of the old one for when you sell it.

The likelihood of someone keying an 03 plate 206 because it has the fuel cap from a GTI is somewhat unlikely, as is their insurance being voided because of changing the fuel cap.
