2070 Super Will It Bottleneck?

Hi fellas, I just bought the Gigabyte 2070 SUPER Gaming White OC.

My current system is
Asus Maximus VII Ranger Intel Z97
I7 4770k (OC to 4.5ghz)
16 GB Avexir Blue Core 1600mhz DDR3
Corsair 850w PSU
Samsung 28" 4K 60Hz 1ms Gaming

I bought the card this afternoon, replacing my 980TI and assumed it would just slot in with out any issues. But after doing some reading some people suggest the CPU may hold back the card,so i've managed to get a stable overclock of 4.5 on the CPU but the ram is stuck at 1600mhz.
I've had a bit of a google but cant find much info on whether 1600mhz DDR3 will restrict the card? if at all.

I'm not worried about a handful of FPS and plan to rebuild completely in a few months.
So does ram speed make any difference? Or is it fine?​

In a word, yes. However, it will vary quite a lot over a variety of games. Some barely anything, while others moderately so. The odd title will be hampered severely (though I shouldn't think that many).

See how you get on and if something is amiss, then start thinking about a new platform.

Yeah I was planning a new build over the next few months anyway so if it makes a big difference, i'll see what the xmas deals bring

I'm running a 4790k and have no bottleneck issues, but my CPU is at 4.5ghz.
Try it and see. If you do, try and push the overclock more.

I've got an overclock of 4.5 with max temps of 70 degrees under stress, so theres probably a little wiggle room for a little more, the ram wont overclock just BSOD as soon as I touch it lol.
Because of the black Friday sales and Overclockers being so busy, the card isn't going to arrive today anyway... but if it does have issues ill try and push it a little more. Cheers.
