Thinking of going from a 1070ti to a 2070s as a short term-ish upgrade until the next round of cards as it seems a bit late in the day to splurge £1k on a 2080ti and the 2080s seems to barely be an upgrade over a 2070s for the extra £200. Probably looking around £280 cost to change after selling the 1070ti.

Has anyone seen any 3440*1440 benchmarks though on review sites? Its not something any of my go to sites seem to bother with sadly. 5 minutes googling hasn't turned up much.

What monitor do you have? I found the 1080 great for 3440x1440 60Hz. Just thinking your ti is close to a 1080, if you’re not pushing for maximum frames on a high refresh panel it should be pretty good.

I'm also curious about 3440x1440 performance. Closest relevant benchmark I've seen is with a stock RTX 2080S vs a heavily o/cd 5700 XT:

I also had 1070 Ti with a 60 Hz 1440p ultrawide, which was a good match. Then I upgraded to a 100 hz ultrawide. After I got hooked on higher frame rates, I found the 1070 Ti lacking despite a 12% performance increase after O/Cing.

Its 120hz but tbh I'm not seeking 'stupid' frame mates. 60 minimums on ultra with minimal messing about is my goal.

I was playing Prey earlier and was getting low to mid 70s, so not a million miles over 60. Something more modern is likely dipping under.

GTA V with the graphics mods I have on is borderline.

Could probably also look at 3440 x 1440 1080Ti benchmarks (likely more around) to get a ballpark idea of performance. or look at 1440p 2070S benchmarks and knock roughly a 1/3 off the FPS (given pixel count delta between normal 1440p and UW)

I use such a combination of a couple of Ti's, but even a single TI for most the part does well at that resolution. Most games can have a nice mix of settings and FPS at the same time. Very demanding settings should be toned down in AAA games, but normally you will easily be well above 60 FPS.
