Sounds about right imo.

I would expect slightly faster than a 1080Ti, the same way GTX1080 was slightly faster than a GTX980Ti.

Totally agree. Hope it holds out true also! I'd buy a new 2070 over a used Ti despite lack of vram vs the Ti as I'm sure 8gb is still sufficent

The 1080 was 30% faster than the 980Ti. It's looking like the 2080 will be less than 10% faster than the 1080Ti.

Whatever card they are using it is most likely clocked to around it's full potential judging by the 2025mhz core clock. Oc that Ti to the same level and it would be faster. If it's a 2070 it's good news. If it's the 2080 then it's pretty poor. I am assuming that Turing cards can only reach the same kind of core clocks as Pascal so could be wrong if that's not the case.

More like 20-30% faster, in some games the gap was pretty small.

Compared to NVIDIA's GTX 980 Ti, the performance uplift is about 30%, and the GTX 1080 is not even the highest-end card NVIDIA will release on Pascal

Think about that for a minute, if the Founders Edition, with its current temperatures and clock speeds is providing 30% better performance compared to the GeForce GTX 980 Ti, then what will happen when custom cards are released and GPU Boost is able to raise the clock speed another 100MHz or more?

Not likely to be a 2070 as there are none to pre order and OcUK have not even got place holders for them.

Gains as low as 10% in some cases, 16% in 3dmark.

Just saying, depending on the benchmark you look at GTX1080 looked disappointing as well, many opted for the 980Ti instead and still use them today.

Doesn't matter if it's on preorder or not, could still be 2070. We will know soon whether you're right or not.
