Hi Gents, plase help me with finishing my 1st PC build :)

I will most certainly go with these parts:

CPU: Intel 8700k / 8086k / i9 9900k (if comes up in October)

GPU: 2080 Ti

I need help with other parts:

Motherboard (up to 200 EUR), RAM (200 EUR), SSD (200 EUR), Case (150 EUR), PSU (150 EUR), Cooling (100-150 EUR).

Possible build at the moment: *** No competitor linking - please read the rules ***

Budget might go slightly up if neccessary.

There currently isn’t any benchmarks for the 20xx range of graphics cards and i think it will be overkill for gaming at 1440p.
I have a 6600k and a 1080ti and game at 1440p and get over 100fps in most games at ultra settings, so I believe the 2080ti will be wasted. Also the 8700k is currently one of the best cpus for gaming.

Save a tonne of money and go 8700k and 1080ti

Hope this helps.

I wouldnt say overkill for 1440p but certainly best suited for 1440p with a high refresh rate of 144hz+. My current 1080Ti plays most games at 100-165hz without much issue at ultra settings.

As above i wouldnt personally get the 2080Ti without also having a high refreshrate 1440p G-sync monitor to go with it. Same with the 8086k, i would save your money and either wait for the 9900k or get an 8700k. Unless you plan to delid and overclock as the 8086k tends to overclock better. Otherwise the 8700k is an identicle chip.

Everything otherwise looks fine to me. The main components are all pretty solid. The rest is just down to your personal preference.

Coolermaster also do the h500m case which is the updated version of the h500p just for information.

would personally just grab 2080 over ti unless you know you want to push 4k over 60fps hopefully .

least you can justify paying the extra £15-30 from 1080ti to 2080

week 40 will see the launch of 8 core intels, personally would grab that - the i7 9700 not for the fact its now 8 cores over 6 or downside it lacks hyper threading but more so its soldered and should clock high!
