Its time, really struggle to run Warzone with current set up and with BF6 on the horizon im wondering best route for gpu upgrade, mobo is quite old by todays standard i think but still good, so any compatible GPU considered.
Dont know why i struggle in COD, pc still meets recommended spec but cant play above minimum graphics settings in game, i have a 1440p monitor, it wouldnt be that thats making gpu black screen etc? I can run Destiny 2 no problem, i do have to run Warframe at 1080p tho, so maybe it is the gpu, love to get your thoughts.
Current specs are aging but still ok

X570 AORUS ELITE
BIOS: F40g
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X stock
32gb Ram
and the 2080ti
May look at console route or go full send on new pc, but if i can get a capable card at a reasonable price will keep the old girl chugging along.
TIA

What happens if you try and run it above the minimum graphics settings?

Have you used anything like MSI afterburner to see what is happening during gaming?

PC seems more than capable of running the game at 1440P

Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?

What kind of FPS are you getting when playing? Are the GPU drivers up to date?

What version of Battlefield is it exactly? I do not play the games but there is a number of different versions of the game lol

above min settings i get screen freeze then black screen, in cod you have basic, minimum, balanced, recommended, ultra and extreme i think
Win 11, all up to date and nvidia also
was getting decent frames to be fair, ill check and post again
BF 2042 ran with no issues, ill see if i can find a crash log for COD
Ill try and use MSI Afterburner as well
Update
I get a 141 kernel event on crash in cod crash reports, google says this
The LiveKernelEvent 141 error in Windows typically indicates a hardware-related issue, often related to the graphics card (GPU) or its driver. This error can manifest as a crash or unexpected reboot during graphically intensive tasks. Troubleshooting steps include updating the GPU driver, checking for overheating, ensuring adequate power supply, and testing system components like RAM and the hard drive.
Ill try MSI when running the game as well

From a 2080 Ti, I'd be looking at a minimum of a 9070.

Did you have the drivers updated then too? If so, I'd try using much older ones.

What PSU do you have?

I have a 2080ti in an 8th gen i7 MSI pc that my daughter games on and it's getting 70 FPS on high settings, are you sure it's not the CPU bottlenecking?

I have that exact same motherboard I bought from the MM here a few weeks back. I wanted to build a AM4 based machine. I bunged a 5800X3D in and a Sapphire Pulse 9070XT and it's running great. Most of the games I'm playing are 100+ FPS and that's at 5120x1440p so close to 4K. I'm preferring gaming on this than my 7800X3D/4090 pc. Sounds mad but I just get a kick out of it. Probably because it's an older platform but still more than capable.

CoD likes X3D cache, it really helps with the mins, it also loves AMD GPU's by a significant margin vs Nvidia, no idea how things are with the new BF.

A 5700X3D for £180-200 and a 9070 or 9070XT for £500-600 would make a night and day difference in CoD and be a healthy upgrade in general.
