So since Feb of this year, I have noticed some weird things happening in games when running afterburner.

Pre Feb I was able to run the clock at +160 and memory at +500 so the card ran at 1900-1950. It was stable in gtaV and total Warhammer 2. Now I am having issues all the dam time. I have to clock at +125 on the core to make it stable so the card now runs at 1750-1800 ish.

I tried installing the pre-FEb driver to see if that made a difference and it still needs to be +125 any more and it crashs. Anyone else having these issues?

Also in TW 3 kingdoms, the card is going from 1950 to 1700 after a while of playing even though the temp is the same. Does anyone know if the other overclocking programs are doing the same or are it just ab?

I am currently having the exact same problem with my 1070, started happening last month after some update. Tried various drivers, hardware configs and nothing worked. The only thing that has worked is uninstalling afterburner.
Some people said that disabling the overlay in rivatuner or setting it to vector 2d worked for them.

Afterburner installed will cause CTD even at stock clocks, uninstalled my system will be fine all day.

Any help would be appreciated too.

well i uninstalled msi ab. since my card is an asus card i gave gpu tweak 2 a try and so far I have had no crashs after 8 hours of gaming. so for me what ever the reason afterburner does not play well with my system for now.

I haven't updated MSI if that helps. I'm on the version from January and this is why I don't update it.

My overclock is stable on the 2080ti and I'm happy so I'm not going to let it do updates, for what
