2080ti cards failing ?

Considering there's more FE version failing than other 3rd party cards, probably the 2 slots cooler design is doing a good enough job to tame the power-hungry hot running beast after all...

It doesn't appear to be a cooling issue. Suggestions are that it's the GDDR6 RAM, which would make sense given it is known to cause artifacting if faulty. From those I've seen with artifacts, they haven't been accompanied by soaring temps.

Using a single card stock on the FE one, in about 8 days of gaming I have not seen it go past 79c or even hit 60% fan speed yet, even when working flat out in an enclosed case. Most of the time it's around 75c and 55% fan speed.

These cards are really well built, shame this issue is letting them down.

Having been through an horrendous time with Nvidia recently returning an unwanted 2080 and having to wait over 3 weeks just to get an RMA number, I would certainly not want to be getting a GPU direct from them in the future!!
