Hi all.

I recently picked up a lower end 2080ti. I got it at a good price with warranty, so said i'd gamble.
Link to phot of the card in question 2080ti

Card is actually performing fine with benchmarks etc.... However my concern is the blower.

I've seen a youtube video where folks have upgraded or modded the heatsink to a better one with 120mm fans, but I'm struggling to find any that will fit my card. The Artic one I was looking at on youtube is now end of life.

If anyone has any advice or links to options available, i'd be most grateful.

Thanks in advance.

You can still get the Alphacool Eiswolf 2 AIO liquid cooler for a couple of hundred, compatability list on their website. Don't know to anything else.

The NZXT G12 works but you need to use the AMD holes not the Nvidia ones on the AIO bracket.

Thanks. Just had a look at this.

As for the AIO cooler. Do I need specific one to fit it to the G12?

yeah you need to use one of the compatible ones on the list, and make sure the 2080ti is a reference pcb. The blower cards usually are.
You might need to mod the bracket a bit to fit and the bottom RAM heatsink if I recall you have to modify it to fit. VRM's need a heatsink on too which isnt supplied with the G12 I made my own.
Also used a Noctua 80mm fan instead of the default. Its a bit of a faff/££ but the results are like 20c lower.

Excellent. Thanks for the advice. Like i said above. The Card Runs well, but that little fan hasn't got the legs to deal with that heat.

Um... doesn't buying a card with a warranty and then immediately replacing the cooler make that a bit pointless? :o :D
Your right . But i got this for half nothing. I hope to be up to 3080ti by end if summer, so dont mind modding this. Another 2 pc's in the house, so won't go to waste until or unless it fails.

Understand where you're coming from though.

You could try undervolting first and see if it helps the temperatures and noise. Maybe a re-paste could knock another couple degrees off. Below is just the first example that popped up when i googled. stating a 90w power reduction

or something like this, if your card has a reference PCB

You mean like the 100's if not 1000's of people who buy a GPU then immediately stick it under water ? Dont forget depends on the manufacturer some like Gigabyte let you remove the cooler and still maintain warranty.
