Looking at cards.
Price of 2080Ti coming in at around DOUBLE (or close to) that of a 2080 SUPER.
Is it that much better? how much better is it? Seems a mad jump in price.
Really no point buying a 2070 if I am running a 1080. I'll just wait for next gen.IMO, the only two Turing cards you should consider buying at the high end are the 2070 Super or the 2080Ti.

The 2070 Super is a significant upgrade from the 1080. Especially if you are into VR. And there is the other tech like Ray Tracing and DLSS.
With the new cards looking like they are going be delayed until 2021 and prices set to increase in the near future, the 2070 super is relatively cheap upgrade when you include the sale of your 1080.
I am pretty confident you would be very happy with the switch.

dont belive everything Gibbo tells you lol. After this Corona mess is over and a significant proportion of the world are unemployed there will be lower demand for gaming GPU's. Lower demand leads to lower prices.and prices set to increase in the near future,
That’s medium to long term. In the near future, the next two to three months I expect stock shortages to drive the price up.dont belive everything Gibbo tells you lol. The 2070 Super is probably one of the best performance to price ratio cards going at the top end, especially when you can get one for around £470-£480.Everything above the 2070 Super you get diminishing returns in terms of price/performance.

+1I think they seem way overpriced compared to the 5700xt that are 300-350 and come with the new game bundle. If you were planning on getting the resident evil game 3 remake it makes the 2070s nearly double the price.
I want a new card but I don't think the performance is worth the money on the 2070s and the other top end cards are silly prices.
