Just a quick notification of an upcoming Astronomical event.

20th March 2015 there will be a total eclipse of the sun. The totality will only be complete in an arc that flies over a strip to the east of Iceland and the West of the UK - however the whole of the UK will be in an area that will have most of the sun hidden (weather permitting).

The following link gives some decent information.

If the weather is fine there should be some opportunities to get some really nice shots :)

*** WORD OF WARNING - DO NOT POINT YOUR CAMERA OR ANY OTHER OPTICAL INSTRUMENT AT THE SUN AND LOOK DIRECTLY THROUGH IT. BLINDNESS ISNT A GOOD THING ***

Looking forward to this- the next near-total eclipse visible in the UK is 2026!
