saw a TV for sale in john lewis today with 21:9 ratio, i was a little suprised to see it tbh. think that will become standard for monitors?

Isn't this the new "cinema" res.

If so, no - I doubt it will become mainstream in the home either.

21:9 (2.33:1)? Absolutely nothing is made in that format. I mean it's kinda close to 2.40:1 but if the point is to get rid of black bars then it has to be exact. Kinda pointless.

Sadly theres nothing really in that format and prolly won't be for a long time if ever... but the philips 21:9 demo is cool:
