2142 digital dl

if i buy the digital dl am I right in thinking it will play without a doovd, and give me a new key? Can i only use that key then, or can I use my dvd key (and sell on my dvd version with the digital key)

any help?

im not 100% sure about this, but i do know that keys are tied to in-game accounts, and once it has been registered to account, it can never be changed.

you dont get any keys with the digital release, the key is in the drm
also, i dont think the keys are tied to accounts, that was only in cod4

I bought BF2 as a download from EA last week, I sold my original copy 2 years ago - but I was still able to log into the account server and sign in as my old persona...

I'd think it works the same for 2142 (which I found just a wee bit pants)

i think the accounts are not tied into the game but to your EA account in general.

it says on the downloader that I can only download it for 6 months?

How was i able to dl northern strike yesterday then, I've had that well over 6 months :/
